SsangYong Motor (Yoo-il lee, CEO;http:/www.smotor.com/en/) announced “Rising Dragon Cross China Tour” plan to strengthen its presence in China.
Celebrating the 60th year anniversary of SsangYong Motor, “Rising Dragon Cross China Tour” consists of various programs for the Chinese journalists from 25 medias and dealers to test drive and visit historical heritage and dealerships. The tour will start its journey from Great Wall on May 21 and end at Lanzhou on June 3, travelling 2,694km for about 2 weeks.
During the event, participants will test drive total 10 vehicle in four models, including 「New Korando」and 「New Actyon」, strategic models of SsangYong Motor Company. Starting from Beijing, stopping at Jinan, Zhengzhou, and completing its journey at Lanzhou, a state capital of Gansu province located in the north-western part of China, total 70 participants will their turns at each stop as a relay.
In historical places relating to ‘Dragon culture’, such as Luoyang, Yuncheng, Tianshui, participants will visit cultural heritages and local dealers will also join the test drive program.
Through this event, SsangYong intends to highlight the excellent performance of SsangYong vehicles by driving through bad weather and various terrain, supported by its outstanding 4x4 technology. In the meantime, along with soaring demand on SUVs with over 40% of annual growth rate in China, SsangYong expect that this event will play a important role to firmly establish its reputation as a leading SUV maker in China
